SPEAKERS

Sis Nasim Walji Pirmohamed considers herself to be a ‘work in progress’ in her soul Transformational and evolutionary journeys. She is a homemaker, a mother of 3 children, and 2 grandchildren. She has previously studied in the Islamic seminary both in Tehran and Qum, Iran during the peak of the Islamic Revolution in Iran. She is very fond of knowing more about Shia Mysticism through Duas of Ahlulbayt a.s and an avid reader of rich texts and research studies by grand Shia Mystics scholars like the legendary Allama Qadhi Tabatabai, Ayatollah Jawad Amoli and the giant Allamah Tabatabai. Over the last 30 years, She has travelled extensively as a visiting lecturer during Ashre Muharram and Ashre Zaynabiyah In 2016, she founded a humanitarian project inspired by Sayyida Zaynab s.a called Lady Zaynab Helping Hands a project that would be reaching out to the vulnerable population of widows and internally displaced Syrian orphans.

Dr Munzela Raza is a graduate of the Al Mahdi Institute (AMI) and is currently doing an MA in Islamic Studies at the University of Birmingham. Zahra Milani: As a secondary school English teacher, Zahra Milani is the head of English at Al-Sadiq and Al-Zahra schools. She is passionate about youth empowerment through education and bridging the gap between Shia beliefs and the culture that we exist in. She was fortunate enough to have exercised this belief at Salvatorian Catholic College, where she served as the Head of English and literacy coordinator. She has a BA in English Language combined with Christian Theology. A MA in Comparative Philosophy of Religion and a PGCE in English. She has been blessed with the tawfeeq of translating Sayed Fadhil Milani book about Sayeda Fatima from Arabic to English, titled: Fatima az-Zahra, Ummu Abeeha.
