SPEAKERS

Neil Jameson: He describes himself as a Community Organiser; seeking talented leaders and young Organisers who have the courage and commitment to work with others democratically to strengthen civil society, pursue the common good and tackle injustice. He has travelled extensively and worked in the USA and Sudan on civil society projects. Prior to founding Citizens UK in 1988, he worked for 20 years in the public and voluntary sector – with Somerset and Coventry Local Authorities – and later, Save the Children and The Children’s Society in the UK.

Maymuna Osman: Maymuna is an Organiser at Migrants Organise. She has been supporting filmmaking workshops with a group of members who are navigating the refugee/asylum system.

Fatema Kazaz: Fatema is a community organiser and has been very active within our community. She recently joined SICM at Care4Calais and will be sharing some of her experiences.
