Reclaiming Rumi: A critical look at the Western portrayal of the life and works of Molana Rumi

SPEAKER

Zena Kazeme is a refugee resettlement worker, freelance radio broadcaster and spoken word poet. She sits on the board of Amos Trust, a Palestinian human rights charity. After briefly studying the Masnavi, she co-facilitated a mindfulness workshop for Palestinian war survivors, using the poetry of Molana Rumi to explore and address trauma. She holds a Masters in Law and is a keen refugee rights activist.
