Project update
Salaam Centre First Floor Takes Shape
|
|
|
Building works progressed in December and continued into the New Year: seeing the ground floor concrete frame completed and the commencement of the first-floor slab support works. We shall see pouring of the first-floor concrete in the next two weeks - hoping to have this complete in the first week of February.
Thus, mid-February onwards we shall see the building going onwards and upwards with the concrete frame to the second floor.
In the meantime, remedial works in the basement have commenced in preparation of the waterproof tanking that will also be carrying on in tandem with the upper floor construction in February.
Our weekly design team meetings are ongoing with constant deliberation of construction details and design co-ordination; thus it is as busy behind the scenes as on site.

SALAAM CENTRE FEATURE
Prayer Hall
Each newsletter we will be giving you a preview of what to expect from the Salaam Centre, inshallah.
This month we start with our Prayer Hall.
This beautifully designed hall will house over 250 worshippers for both women and men with overflow areas for larger events.
Designed for contemplation, the inspiring Prayer Hall will be the beating spiritual heart of the Salaam Centre nourishing the souls of its users through devotion, majalis and regular events around our religious calendar.

SALAAM CENTRE FUNDRAISING UPDATE TE
£200,000 raised in December, we need a further £1.5m

|
|
We've come this far, now help us finish this blessed project
Support YOUR Salaam Centre
|
|
We now need to urgently raise £1.5m to complete phase 2.
Before the signing of the contract in October 2022 we had raised £3.4 million, since then we have managed to get donations and pledges of £1.1m for the period ending December 2022. We now need your help and hope that you will be able to help contribute to reach our £6m target.
Please contribute whatever you can, no amount is too small - £25,000, £10,000, even £5,000 or £1,000.
Alternatively, make your commitment long term and take out a standing order.
|
|
We are most thankful to thousands of you for your support to date. Every pound collected has helped. While hundreds of you have kept your contribution anonymous, we are grateful to the many major donors who have agreed to be named in order to encourage others. Click here.
May Allah SWT reward you in abundance.
