Salaam Centre Dinner: Community Comes Together to Support a Great Institution
The Salaam Centre hosted its second Gala Dinner at Wembley Stadium bringing together our community, leaders and impactful people from all walks of life.
Sponsored by The Lady Fatemah (A.S.) Charitable Trust, the Salaam Centre Gala Dinner at Wembley was an an inspirational evening where guests were presented with the Salaam Centre’s unique vision and offer to communities of all faiths and none.
Hosted by Hayder Al-Kazaz and introduced by a beautiful Qur'an recitation by Sayed Jalal Masoomi, guests enjoyed a performance by the White Moon Ensemble (including Hassen Rasool, Waseelah Smedley, Kansia PRitchard, Abdullah Mufa and Elena Martinez).
Comedian and Britain’s Got Talent Star Nabil Abdulrashid delighted the audience with his quick-witted observations of multicultural life in Britain, while football fans heard from the legendary John Barnes who spoke about his time as a Liverpool and England player and his hopes for the future.
Naz Shah MP and Muslim Council of Britain Secretary General Zara Mohammed also delivered remarks. Ayatollah Sayyid Fadhel Milani concluded the event with a special duaa.
